Headshot 7.2022

I’m a behavioral scientist pursuing research at the intersection of intergroup relations, stigma, and authenticity. In my current program of work, I take an interdisciplinary (i.e., psychology, sociology, history, anthropology, etc.) approach to investigating how racial and ethnic minorities navigate and experience the tension between expressing themselves in ways that make their minority status salient vs. assimilating to the norms of the dominant racial group. My graduate training is primarily experimental, including field experiments and interventions, but I also leverage observational studies by collecting data from online sources (particularly Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, & Facebook) or field settings.
